The HMK Team is expanding and this week we’re shining a spotlight on one of our newest recruits Lucy Fenton.

Job Title: Office Administrator
When did you join HMK? August 2021
What does your role involve? My job covers all general office administration. I deal with invoices that come in and order acknowledgements and now I’m starting to look at Health and Safety matters.
Previous experience and areas of expertise: HMK is a very new industry for me, as I’d previously worked in hospitals. I was the logistics administrator for a company that carried out water testing across various hospital sites.
Why did you want to join HMK? I wanted something different and I was looking for a new challenge and the automation industry is a whole new area for me. The other day I was looking at a robotic arm, which I’d never had the opportunity to see before, so I’m finding it all really interesting.
What’s the best thing about working at HMK? I’m doing such a varied role, which is great because no two days are ever the same. I think the best thing is that it is so different to what I’m used to and I’m learning about new things.
What’s your proudest achievement? This has to be my children. I’ve got an eight-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son who make me very proud.
Fun fact about Lucy: Me and my partner are urban explorers so we go and visit and explore old and abandoned buildings. We’ve explored loads of interesting places including asylums, mansions and even an old theme park.
