Using the world’s leading planetary gearbox supplier just got easier thanks to the latest software release from Neugart.
The newest version of Neugart’s calculating software – Neugart Calculation Program (NCP) – is out now offering a range of new features and enhancements designed to streamline the sizing tool for users.
NCP enables users to input data from an application you already use or a machine you’re looking to build and it will help you to select the type of gearbox required.
The latest version - NCP 4.2 – is for the first time compatible with the newly-launched NGV gearbox and Neugart has also simplified the operation of the tool to improve user friendliness.
Key highlights of version 4.2 include:
- Compatible with propulsion drives in Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and the new NGV gearbox that is tailored to these vehicles
- Existing projects from current or older NCP versions can also now be loaded for newly designed controlled systems and compared with them
- The ability to import existing motor data as well as gearbox data
- Conversions are no longer required when importing read-out motor data
- Users of popular CAD programs can now also use the familiar full stop as a separator as well as the comma
- Calculations can now be carried out in the input fields
- The gearbox documentation has been optimised meaning that the user can detect whether the selected gearbox is actually suitable on the basis of utilisation bars
- An example is now included for every application making using the tool even easier
