Neugart has announced two major updates - the launch of a new ‘Pro’ performance class of precision gearboxes, and the release of version 5.0 of its Neugart Calculation Program (NCP) sizing software.

Expanding the precision portfolio with new ‘Pro’ performance series
The newly introduced PSNpro, PSFNpro and PSBNpro gearbox series represents a new performance class above Neugart’s existing precision gearboxes.
The Pro series is based on innovative gear technologies and new materials, designed to deliver higher power, better process quality, and less noise - ideal for dynamic applications.
The optimised tooth flank quality reduces point load peaks and enables higher torques to be transmitted with the same service life. In particular, cycle torque has increased significantly, enabling the Pro series to rival, and even surpass, spur gearboxes.
The Pro gearboxes utilise the advantages of helical teeth to achieve excellent synchronisation. Transmission fluctuations between the input and output remain extremely low throughout the rotation of the output shaft.

NCP 5.0 sizing software brings gearbox design closer to real-world operation
Alongside the new gearbox series, Neugart has released Neugart Calculation Program (NCP) 5.0 - the latest version of its widely used drive sizing and calculation software, making it even easier to find the perfect gearbox/motor combination.
This update to the configuration tool focuses more on practical cycles, which can be imported from recorded system data. This allows for even more precise gearbox design and full utilisation of the upper performance limit. In addition, NCP 5.0 visualises gearbox utilisation via characteristic maps.
Usability has been further improved with new tools for determining positioning accuracy and lead/pitch, as well as an optimised gearbox filter.
