Siemens sees over £1 million worth of growth for motion control business

Siemens Industry Automation & Drive Technologies has announced over £1 million worth of new business growth of its engineered drives and motion control business over the last twelve months.

This successful growth is as a result of the implementation of a new strategic and collaborative partnership with HMK Technical Services Ltd based in Congleton.

This collaboration extends across all HMK and Siemens’ sales, application and support teams to better address the demands of OEMs and system integrators and, ultimately, guarantee a holistic approach for the end customer.

Andrew Peters, divisional director of Drive Technologies at Siemens Industry Automation & Drive Technologies, comments: “We have a long-standing relationship with HMK that has been very successful but it’s important to both businesses that we constantly evaluate our processes.

So twelve months ago we readdressed our strategy and implemented a new working practice that firmly puts the emphasis on collaboration between our team and HMK’s. This further ensures our solutions for the end user meet their exact and evolving needs.

“We understand that the current operating environment is a challenging one, so our focus on delivering solutions for improved operational efficiency, safety and energy efficiency is aimed at easing the pressure on operating margins.”

Carl Krajewski, CEO of the HMK Group, added: “Our partnership with Siemens is going from strength to strength and offers customers an unrivalled team for consultancy, technical and commissioning support. The mechatronic packages we provide are clearly in demand from customers and building on this offering with a more holistic approach between the two organisations has been hugely beneficial. We have set ourselves ambitious targets for further growth over the next two years and will continue to improve on our offering".
