Industrial Couplings are often overlooked until they fail, but are a critical component of the drivetrain to connect the prime mover to the driven items. Within the industrial coupling range there are three types offering various flexibility, speed range & torque ratings.
Torsionally rigid: Designed to be rigid in a peripheral direction and flexible in radial and axial directions.
Flexible/Elastomer: Designed using resilient elements usually manufactured from elastomer materials. Shaft misalignment's allow the elastomer elements to deform during operation.
Highly Flexible: Designed using a large amount of elastomer flexibility, allowing high radial misalignment between shafts
